Is this really the world we live in now? A Frsico, TX art teacher was fired because she took her class to the Dallas Museum of Art and the students (I am sure among many other things) saw the statue of a nude man. Imagine the horror of that. Just imagine it. Your a fifth grader and you see a nude (lets say Greek) statue. Horror, pure horror. Who knows, you might just have to turn gay.

Now you just have to make sure your child never looks into a mirror after taking a shower.

Excerpt from the story:

FRISCO, Texas — An award-winning Texas art teacher who was reprimanded after one of her fifth-grade students saw a nude sculpture during a trip to a museum has lost her job.

The school board in Frisco has voted not to renew Sydney McGee‘s contract after 28 years. She has been on administrative leave.

Who thought I would ever write a post with that title…

From Reuter’s – also know as “Reuters’ Believe it or Not”…

Copperfield is coy about his reasons for the Fountain of Youth claim, but the man best known for entertaining with grand deception insists his archipelago also contains the legendary waters that bestow perpetual youth. Seriously.

David Copperfield Tickets“I’ve discovered a true phenomenon,” he told Reuters in a telephone interview. “You can take dead leaves, they come in contact with the water, they become full of life again. … Bugs or insects that are near death, come in contact with the water, they’ll fly away. It’s an amazing thing, very, very exciting.”

Copperfield, who turns 50 next month, said he had hired biologists and geologists to examine its potential effect on humans but he’s not inviting visitors to swim in or drink from it just yet.

Newsweek interviews “Left Behind” coauthor Tim LaHaye. Nothing very exiting here, but I liked this snipped:

We believe that the Bible should be understood literally whenever possible

Right – sometimes it is literal – when we like it – and sometimes, it is not. God, after all, is very subtle about when he wants to be taken literally.

Wyatts ark

A group of Texas adventurers announced last week that they found
the remains of Noah’s Ark on the slopes of a rugged mountain in
Iran. The fourteen-man expedition, led by explorer and speaker Dr Bob
Cornuke, returned with video and photographic evidence of a black
object 400 ft long and 13,120 feet above sea level, as well as samples
of the ‘wooden beams’.

The team included well-known leaders from business, law and
Christian ministry, including Barry Rand (former CEO of Avis), Josh
McDowell (author and Christian apologist), Frank Turek (author), Boone
Powell (former CEO of Baylor Medical Systems), and Arch Bonnema
(president of Joshua Financial).

A creationist geologist’s assessment

'Ark' object.

The face of this ‘Ark’ object shows the appearance of folded sediment, not of wood grain. From Arkfever.com.

From my perusal of the photos, (and I can only go from the
pictures, not having visited the site), the object does not look like
Noah’s Ark to me. The black object looks like a rock outcrop, and
the close-up shots of the ‘beams’ suggest that the whole
area has been sheared by tectonic movement, causing folding and
metamorphism.

WorldNetDaily: Buffett gift means millions for abortion

Pro-life advocates are concerned about investment guru Warren Buffett’s massive donation to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation because of the Microsoft founder’s support for abortion.WorldNutDailt

The Gates Foundation has given the Planned Parenthood Federation of America almost $12.5 million since 1998, including funds to persuade teens to support abortion and to lobby the United Nations to advance pro-abortion proposals, reported LifeNews.com

The foundation also has given nearly $21 million to International Planned Parenthood over the last seven years, where funds have been used to promote abortions in third-world nations and to set up pro-abortion family planning centers in South America, Africa and Eastern Europe.

Buffet, whose wealth is second only to Gates’, has announced he will leave about 80 percent of his estate to the Gates Foundation.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life women’s network Susan B. Anthony List lamented Buffett’s decision.

“It’s tragic that much of Warren Buffett’s billion-dollar attempt to improve the lives of people around the world is actually going to fund organizations that take the lives of unborn children and encourage others to do the same,” said Dannenfelser.

They are ready to leave.

Could this be the it???
With what now looks like Israel is definetly going into Gaza, is this it?

I just read where they have blown up 2 bridges and a power station with fighter jets. If hamas does not waiver….I truly believe they are going in.

Could this be the start of everything to come. The AC has to come into power at a time of great struggle between the Palastinias and Israel. I think it is the only way the world will be in awe of this man who brings peace to the 2 who could never agree on peace.

I am so ready to go home and I truly believe we are so close… Spread the word of Our Lord and Savior Jesus. If you are afraid to share your faith or just don;t know how, go to http://www.wotmradio.com and listen. It truly is a great way to understand their need for Christ.

All you Prayer Warriors sadel up and get down on your knees. Pray for all those here that they may be given a heart for the lost… That they may become brave in the Lord and step out of their comfort zones…

Praise our Lord and Savior all who have been forgiven!!! For he is Great and Merciful and we are unworthy of such Love

NebulaNot sure how long this will last before the so called “Church of Scientology” gets youtube.com to shut this down, but this has to be seen to be believed. Oh, and don’t forget, it is your choice to jump off a bridge, but you would be stupid not to join Scientology.

Update: Google video features the full-length (35 minutes) orientation video. Anybody else feel reminded of the “Lost” orientation video?

Sometimes…

Sometimes it is just too hard not to make fun of them… read and be amazed how God let this squirrel die without pain.

My children spoke and God heard them

This morning I saw our cat walking with a squirrel in her mouth. Not wanting to see her kill anything (or eat it or bring it into the house) I immediately cornered the cat and got her away from the squirrel. After putting the cat in the garage, the children (age 6 and 11) and I watched the injured squirrel laying on the pavement outside our window. We don’t know if the squirrel’s neck was broken, but it appeared to be injured and not breathing very well. It was then that we held hands and prayed this prayer to God:

Dear God, “We ask that you be with this little squirrel right now. We don’t know if this squirrel is going to live or die, but we know that (her) life is in your hands. Please either heal this squirrel and help her to run away, or bring her home to you so that she is not suffering in pain any more.”

A few moments later the squirrel stopped gasping for breath. We watched her for a while to make sure that she wasn’t in pain. We thanked the Lord for answering our prayers and for bringing this little squirrel home to him. I am sure that this little incident taught the children how to pray to God immediately when a disaster happens, instead of waiting hours or days to ask HIM for direction.

I thank the Lord for this opportunity for HIM to reveal Himself to us this morning. I thank the Lord for HIS grace and mercy.

The Jerusalem Post reports that sex before marriage is kosher:

According to an article by Professor Tzvi Zohar of Bar Ilan University, which has aroused fervent debate in religious Zionist circles, the answer is yes, but only if the relationship is based on mutual respect and the woman immerses herself in a mikve [ritual bath].

And here is a nice reaction from those who will wait all their life for the Rapture:

They were wrong about Jesus so why not be wrong about morality too?
