The New York Times today features one of the gazillion end-of-2005-best-of-lists. This one is by David Pogue. I really didn’t see much of interest in the list (memory cards with USB build in, flip phones with buttons on the outside etc.). However, I really liked the first sentence:

Somebody please explain this to me. Jeremy Hermanns was on Alask Airlines Flight #536 which experienced de-pressurization at 30k feet. He, (and all others on board), survived and wrote a blog post about it. Then he gets flamed for it. Read the comments. They get vicious very quickly. Why?
